2021 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 22

AirVuz contributor and pilot Babang Deshommes is an experienced commercial drone pilot based out of Tromso in the northern part of Norway.  His work includes complex aerial videography filming for documentaries, music videos, TV commercials, and more.  In this amazing piece, he's put together highlights of his work over three years across the expanse of Northern Norway.  Some of the featured locations include the Tromsø Bridge at the :10 mark, the Tromso Cathedral (:15), the Hålogaland Bridge in Nordland County (:45), and more.  

Prepare to be blown away by this fantastic dronelapse video of Mexico City by award-winning content creator Postandfly.  Starting at about the :09 mark, there's a great shot looking towards the volcanoes which mark the southern end of the valley in which the great metropolis is situated.  This is followed by a shot looking northeast over the great Chapultepec park towards the city center.  Other highlights include Aztec Stadium (:36), the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe (:41), the Angel of Independence state (2:41), and more.   

Check out this drone video of one of the most well known mountains in Ireland, compliments of former DVOW Finalist Drone Photography Ireland.  Errigal Mountain is part of the Derryveagh Mountains (also known as the Seven Sisters) which cover much of Donegal, the Ireland's northwesternmost county.  With a peak elevation of about 2.4k ft. above sea level (about 750 m), Errigal is known not so much for its height as its shape as well as its unique pinkish appearance in the right sunlight conditions.  

Cruise along the waters of Italy's Ligurian Sea in this excellent first person view (FPV) piece by AirVuz contributor WAKI FPV.  The video was filmed near the commune of Finale Ligure, on the Gulf of Genoa in the province of Savona.  The gulf is considered an inlet of the Ligurian Sea, itself a large inlet of the Mediterranean Sea.  This area is part of the Italian Riviera, which (depending on definition) covers all or most of the coast of the region of Liguria.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June, 2021. 

AirVuz contributor Canarias Dron garnered a spot as a Finalist in the Drone Video of the Week contest in June of 2021 for this fantastic aerial collage of the island of Gran Canaria.  Gran Canaria is the second-most populous and the third-largest by area of the Canary Islands, a chain of Spanish islands off the coast of North Africa.  Most of the video was filmed over the coast of the island, which emerged from the floor of the Atlantic Ocean via a series of eruptions just a few million years ago - a blink of an eye in geological terms.
