2022 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 37

In this outstanding video by new AirVuz contributor Antonio Sasso, you'll be treated to an exciting aerial tour of the Portuguese island of Madeira.  The video makes the increasingly popular (and visually effective) use of combining footage from a gimbal-stabilized drone (in this case, a DJI Mavic Air 2) with FPV footage, with the Mavic shots used to "set up" the fast-moving FPV footage.  The last vestige of Portugal's once-mighty overseas empire, Madeira is situated about 320 miles (around 520 km) off the coast of Morocco.  

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist Rodowold brings us this excellent drone video from Italy.  The first part of the video was shot over the northern region of Lombardy, where you'll be treated to some aerial views of such wonders as Lake Como and the Italian Alps.  Then you'll head south to the Cinque Terre towns of the Italian Riviera.   The five towns, which lie in the province of La Spezia (part of the region of Liguria) along the Ligurian Sea, have been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.  

Prepare to be blown away by this stunning drone video from Mongolia by multiple Drone Video of the Week/Month Winner BashirAbuShakra.  This talented content creator spent 18 days traveling through some of the most remote areas of this giant Northeast Asian country.  At the :23 mark, there's a magnificent shot of a long-shadowed caravan making its way through the desert, followed by a great view of some fabled Mongolian wild horses.   The video includes some magnificent shots of the country's highly distinctive-looking rock formations.  

Multiple Drone Video of the Week Finalist Migo-Studios brings us this stunning drone reel from Portugal, all of which was filmed with a DJI Air 2S drone.  The video was shot throughout this beautiful Southern European country.  Some of the recognizable sites include the famous Ursa Beach on the Portuguese Riviera (starting at about the 1:00 mark); Barriga Beach in the southern Algarve region (around 1:30); and the Christ the King statue in Almada, across the Tagus River from Lisbon (2:25); and more.   

Multiple Drone Video of the Week Winner haussmanvisuals brings us this stunning first person view (FPV) drone video from Norway's Lofoten Islands.  The video features some stunning shots skimming along the mountain ridges which dot the islands as well as their coasts and beaches.  The Lofoten chain lies within the Arctic Circle but features a surprisingly moderate climate.  This video was picked as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist in September, 2022 and was also picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list.
