2023 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 12

Enjoy this outstanding travel video from Indonesia, compliments of Łukasz Jaros.  Created using drone and ground camera footage, the video opens with two of Indonesia's most famous volcanoes: Mt. Bromo and Kawah Ijen, both of which lie on the eastern side of the island of Java. Then you'll head to the neighboring island of Bali to check out the famous surfing scene on the Bukit Peninsula, on the island's southern tip.  At about the 1:30 mark, you'll see the famous Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, back in East Java, followed by more spots on Bali.  

Former DVOW Winner dronesantana007 brings us this stunning drone video of Budapest, Hungary.  The video opens with a shot looking toward the Széchenyi Chain Bridge over the Danube River, towards Buda Castle on the Buda (west) side of the river.  Starting at the :55 mark, there's a great shot of the Parliament Building, the great edifice on the Pest (eastern) side of the river.  The next stop is Matthias Church, a Gothic masterpiece in the Castle District.  Other locations include the Szilágyi Dezső Square Reformed Church (2:55).  

Enjoy these magical aerial views of the storied Cappadocia region of Turkey, compliments of former Drone Video of the Week Finalist tntrmedia.  Cappadocia covers parts of a half-dozen provinces near the geographic center of the country, on the Anatolian Plateau.  Due to the unique soil deposition and erosion patterns of the area, Cappadocia is dotted with unusual rock formations.  These "fairy tale castles" have in turn helped to turn Cappadocia into one of the world's top spots for hot air balloons.    

Take a drone tour of some of Ireland's famous lighthouses, compliments of Drone Photography Ireland.  The first two stops are Fanad Head and Tory Island Lighthouses, both of which are on the Wild Atlantic Way in County Donegal.  Next up is St. John's Point Lighthouse, also in County Donegal, followed by Loop Head Lighthouse in County Clare, also on the western coastline but well to the south.   At the :48 mark, you'll see Hook Lighthouse in County Wexford, in the southeast, and at 1:29 you'll see the Inisheer Lighthouse in County Galway.  

Check out this fantastic drone showreel by top AirVuz contributor and pilot Paschalis Doumanis.  The reel was created with footage from a variety of drones, including DJI's first person view (FPV) Avata drone as well as DJI's Mavic 2 Pro, Mavic 3, and Inspire 2 birds.  While the majority of the footage is from Greece, the reel also contains some great shots of the skyline of Houston, Texas.  Some of the highlights include the great Greek port of Thessaloniki, the famous Navagio ("Shipwreck") Beach on the island of Zakynthos, and more.
