2023 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 17

Enjoy these stunning aerial views of the Eternal City of Rome, Italy, compliments of top AirVuz contributor and pilot marco.trastu.  The video opens with a shot looking towards St. Peters Basilica in Vatican City, followed by an overhead view of the Pantheon.  Starting at about the :24 mark, there's a great shot of the ancient Colosseum. At the :45 mark, you'll see the Spanish Steps, which connect the Piazza di Spagna with the  Piazza Trinità dei Monti, followed by Trevi Fountain and (at :53) the Victor Emmanuel II Monument.  

Skynamic Drone is one of the top commercial drone filming companies in Germany, and (among other accolades) the winner of the Showreel category at the 6th Annual NYCDFF, returns to AirVuz with this brand-new first person view (FPV) demo reel.  This epic video showreel, winner of the 2023 FPV Video of the Year award, opens with a near-intercept of a jumping FMX rider; other highlights include some epic car chasing shots, a descent onto a pair of speedboats, a fly-through of an auto assembly plant, wingsuit jumper chase scene and more.  

Enjoy these aerial views of Northern Europe in this excellent drone showreel by former DVOW Finalist SKY DIRECTOR.  The video opens with shots of the modern skyline and Old City of Tallinn, Estonia, a historic port city on the Baltic Sea.  Next stop is the Estonian island of Saarema, where you'll see (among other sights) the Sõrve Lighthouse and Kuressaare Castle.  In the second part of the video, you'll head to Norway; highlights here include the iconic fishing village of Henningsvær in the Lofoten Islands starting at the 1:33 mark.  

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist montesinosdroneworld brings us this stunning drone video from the USA's Rocky Mountains in the area surrounding Salt Lake City, Utah.  The video opens with shots of Lake Blanche located in the Big Cottonwood Canyon, a short drive southeast from SLC.  Other featured locations include Ogden Canyon (a bit to the north of SLC), the nearby Beus Canyon, Rock Canyon (in Provo, a bit south of SLC), and Lone Peak Mountain (in Draper, which is located between SLC and Provo).  

Celebrate Earth Day 2023 with this stunning drone video by top AirVuz contributor and pilot VolcaDrone Productions.  The video opens with shots of the Piton de la Fournaise volcano on Réunion Island in the Indian Ocean, followed by views of some migrating whales.  Next, you'll track a group of hikers descending into a volcanic caldera, followed by some epic shots of some parasailers.  Other highlights of this Drone Video of the Week Finalist video include a series of epic surfing and waterfall shots.
