Florida was one of the last major states to order shelter-in-place during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic.  Despite being the third US state to report a confirmed case, and with a particularly vulnerable elderly population, it wasn't until April 1 that Governor Ron DeSantis issued an order effectively closing most businesses in the Sunshine State.  In this drone video by AirVuz contributor drone_us, you'll get an aerial view of the Miami area as Florida's largest metropolitan area weathered the crisis.  

With 50 buildings over 150 meters in height (about 500 ft.) as of mid-2020, the city of Miami, Florida now has the third-most extensive skyline in the USA.  It's a comparatively new phenomenon - all but four of these skyscrapers have been built since 2000 - and the building boom has been concentrated not in the core downtown but rather in the Brickell financial district, south of the Miami River.  One of the country's glitziest neighborhoods, you can check out Brickell from above in this fantastic drone video by Azunik Films.

The video opens with an amazing shot of a parasailer cruising above the torquoise Atlantic waters off the city's coast.  From there you'll get a look at American Airlines Arena downtown (home of the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association), some shots of Biscayne Bay, and a cruise over Miami Beach.  From there it's bird's eye views of Brickell Avenue and Biscayne Bay, a cruise ship heading out to sea, a beachfront music concenrt, and more! 

As the worlds of stabilized aerial videography and first person view (FPV) drone videos begin to merge, talented content creators are creating highly cinematic pieces which blend footage from both types of quads.  A great example is this fantastic piece from Miami Beach, Florida by AirVuz contributor and pilot Emiliano Canales.  The video combines footage from a DJI Mavic Pro 2 and an FPV drone to create a unique perspective of one of the most visually compelling spots in the United States, complete with some epic coastal FPV cruising.  

Contributor o_a_photography created this mesmerizing aerial look at the dynamic urban agglomeration variously known as South Florida, So Flo, the Gold Coast, or Miami-Fort Lauderdale.  The video starts on the Fort Lauderdale (northern) end of the area, which features both a long beachfront and a downtown area slightly inland.  Then it moves south to Miami, where you'll see some epic shots of the Miami skyline, the gleaming white towers of Miami Beach, and the boating scene on Biscayne Bay.

AirVuz contributor Fit Lam Studios traveled to Miami, Florida to work on a music video produced by AirVuz and OKP Films for rising country music star Chris Hawke.  This video is a collection of footage he obtained on the trip.  It includes some amazing shots of the city's skyline, as well as the aquatic recreation opportunities in Biscayne Bay. With some epic editing, you will get a brand new (bird's eye) perspective on the making of a music video as well as this most dynamic Florida, USA city!   

Check out this short-but-stunning aerial tour of Coral Gables, Florida, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot ContemporAD.  Located just to the southwest of downtown Miami, Coral Gables has a permanent population of around 50k.  A planned community inspired by the City Beautiful movement of the early 20th century, Coral Gables was near the epicenter of the great Miami land boom which collapsed with the deadly 1927 hurricane.  The video features great footage of the city and its unique architecture.  

Miami, Florida has a fantastic sailing scene, and is the site of many sailing races.  One of them is a catamaran race called M32 North America Up Top.  Here, the catamarans - two hulled boats built for speed - race up and down the Bay of Biscayne with the gleaming skyscrapers of downtown Miami and Brickell Avenue in the background.  Top contributor OneManOneDrone, who has made a specialty of aerially filming the Miami waterfront scenes, captures it all from a bird's eye perspective with this amazing video. 

Contributor Tarcy_Vision used a DJI Mavic Air drone to create an unforgettable aerial tour of Southern Florida during Spring Break, a time of year when many of the state's beaches and cities are flooded with college students.  Although somewhat more subdued compared to its heyday in the 1970's (when the city of Fort Lauderdale was virtually synonymous with Spring Break), the Gold Coast region running from Miami to West Palm Beach is still considered one of the prime Spring Break destinations.  

AirVuz contributor Santiago used a DJI Air 2S drone to create this marvelous aerial view of Biscayne Bay in Miami, Florida.  In its broadest geographic definition, Biscayne Bay stretches for 60 mi. (around 100 km) north to south, with the southern part of the bay largely undeveloped.  The more commonly accepted definition is the northern part of the bay, which is defined on its western side by the Florida mainland and on its eastern side by a series of barrier islands extending south to Key Biscayne.  

One of the focal points in  transformation of Miami, Florida over the past two decades has been Brickell Avenue.  Like Biscayne Boulevard to its north, Brickell is part of US Route 1.  Extending south from downtown Miami, this area has been transformed by dozens upon dozens of new highrise projects, many with heights of 50 or more stories.  Using a DJI Mavic Pro drone, contributor and pilot Martigen gives us a bird's eye view of this gleaming district, now home to one of the densest concentrations of skyscrapers in the United States.   

The Caribbean cruise ship market is the world's largest, and most of these ships are based in Miami, Florida.   The city's port is now dominated by the large fleet of cruise ships operating in the Caribbean waters as well as points further north.  Visually, the picture of these behemoth vessels set against the glitter of Miami is impressive.  In this video, contributor Silkview took his DJI Phantom 4 drone out to "chase" the Norwegian Epic heading out from the Port of Miami into the Atlantic Ocean.   

Former Drone Video of the Week winner msember brings us this fantastic drone video from the beaches of Delray Beach, Florida, about 80 km (around 50 mi.) north of Miami.  The video was filmed during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Spring of 2020.  While Florida initially resisted calls for closing its beaches, images and videos of spring break revelers crowding some of the most popular beaches on Florida's Gold Coast led to statewide beach closures as state and local authorities scrambled to contain the deadly virus.  

The waters of the Atlantic Ocean off of Miami, Florida offer some of the best windsurfing conditions anywhere in the world.  In this video, content creator and drone pilot one man_one drone films top windsurfer Timothy Knapp on the Gold Coast coastline.  The video opens with a marvelous top down shot of Knapp as he cruises in 35-45 mph winds, and the drone stays on him.  As you watch, you will appreciate how drones are making it possible to visually experience these extreme sports in ways which were never before possible.

In this video, contributor and drone pilot Jpcorzo does a great job of showing modern Miami Beach from the air. It's one of the great comeback stories. It went from one of THE glamour locations from the 1930's through the 60's but had gone into steep decline by the early 1980's.  The Miami Vice TV series, which was filmed here due to its down-and-out look at the time, ironically helped Miami Beach (led by the South Beach area) reinvent itself, emerging once again as one of the world's hippest spots.  

For a well-captioned aerial tour of Miami Beach, Florida, it's tough to beat this video by AirVuz contributor and pilot TampaRandy.  The video will show you the layout of the island itself, plus the ways in which it connects to the mainland over Biscayne Bay.  It features aerial views of the MacArthur Causeway, South Point Park (at the southern tip of the island), Ocean Drive (the main north-south drive on the island), the Loews Miami Beach Hotel, the Julia Tuttle Causeway, the Venetian Causeway, and more.

Miami's Wynwood neighborhood is known for its strong art scene, which has manifested itself in part through urban art.  Lying to the north of downtown, the neighborhood is home to an amazing collection of murals and graffiti.  Many of its buildings have what are known as Wynwood Walls, where urban artists ply their trade.  Once known as little San Juan because of its large immigrant population, in recent years it's become quite fashionable.  Check out the Wynwood Walls in this drone video from drone_us.

Thus far in the 21st century, no major American city has changed as much as Miami. As recently as 1984, it didn't have a single building taller than 150 meters (just under 500 ft.), and as recently as 2007 it only had three.  As of the end of 2018, it had four dozen buildings of that height, more than any other US city save New York and Chicago.  These buildings are concentrated on Brickell Avenue south of the downtown center; get a bird's eye view of this amazing spectacle, compliments of contributor Cubanfly.

Ride along with the drone nerds on a drone accompanying a fishing trip off the coast of Miami, Florida.  They ride out to sea, cruising past some giant cargo ships in the Port of Miami.  Rounding Key Biscayne, they head to Stiltsville - a group of wood houses on stilts one mile south of Cape Florida State Park.  All the action gets recorded for posterity on a DJI Mavic 2 Zoom drone.  The little drone does a great job tracking the boat as it cruises through some of the world's busiest pleasure boating waters. 

Contributor Tampa Randy created this beautiful drone video of Fort Lauderdale, the lesser-known half of the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale urban agglomeration in South Florida.  Located a half hours' drive north of Miami (at least at the rare times when traffic is light) Fort Lauderdale has a long Atlantic Ocean beachfront and numerous channels and harbors.  With its near-ubiquitous access to the water, Fort Lauderdale is one of the biggest yachting markets in the world, and the annual boat show held here is the largest of its kind in the USA.  

While most drone filming of sports cars continues to be with gimbal stabilized rigs, first person view (FPV) pilots have been getting into the act as well.  FPV racing drones can fly much faster and thus keep up with sports cars even traveling at significant speed.  It's not for the faint of heart though; one false move and the drone can be destroyed and an expensive car dented.  Legendary pilot JohnnyFPV shows us how it's done with this epic FPV video from Miami, in which he chases a very expensive Italian sports car.

Reinis Vilnis, who hails from Latvia, headed for sunny Miami to make this drone video of the great South Florida city.  The video features some epic aerials of the South Beach area of Miami Beach, the Bay of Biscayne, and the skyscrapers of Brickell Avenue just south of downtown Miami.  Whether it's filming the beautiful white buildings, catching some jetskiers cruising the warm Atlantic waters, or checking out the endless marina's of the Gold Coast, there is something for everyone in this one! 

Thatdroneview put together this beautiful aerial video of Miami's Hard Rock Stadium.  Completed in 1987, it's the home of the Miami Dolphins, one of the 2-3 most storied teams in the National Football League.  It's also the home field of the University of Miami Hurricanes college football team and the Orange Bowl, one of the premiere college football post-season events.  From 1993 to 2011, it was also home to the Miami Marlins Major League Baseball team.  The stadium sits about 65,000 for football.

This drone video by Jpcorzo will show you how Miami's cruise ship traffic relates to the South Beach neighborhood of Miami Beach. The video follows a cruise liner as it heads out to sea from the cruise ship berths on Dodge Island in Biscayne Bay.  Since the early 1900's, ships have been able to head directly to sea through the Government Cut channel, which essentially chopped off the southern tip of Miami Beach, creating Fischer Island in the process.  Passing through the Cut, South Beach is on the ship's left.  

ContemporAd created this short but highly cinematic drone video of Coral Gables, a suburb of Miami.  Located to the southwest of downtown Miami, Coral Gables was one of the country's first planned communities.  It was near the epicenter of the great Miami land boom of the 1920's, which ended with the devastating 1926 hurricane.  Coral Gables is also known as the home to the University of Miami, one of the largest educational institutions in the area and a perennial college football powerhouse.  

Just off of Miami's South Beach (which is the name for the southern end of the island of Miami Beach), you'll find a much smaller man-made island called Star Island.  The island was completed in 1922 and was initially owned by the developer of Miami Beach, Carl Fischer.  Contributor and drone pilot Travel Lifestyle takes us on an aerial tour of the island that's full of extravagant mansions.  Many of these properties are owned by celebrities who seek a somewhat more secluded environment compared to the mainland of Miami Beach.  

One of the things which has had an enormous impact on the cityscape of Miami, Florida is the transformation of the South Beach neighborhood of Miami Beach.  Once thought of as simply a haven for retirees from the Northeast, the area later became the seedy and crime-infested area depicted in the hit 1980's TV show Miami Vice.  South Beach's rebirth began within a few years; it's now considered one of the most fashionable places in the world.  Aerialfilmsmia takes us on an aerial tour of this amazing place known as SoBe; enjoy the views! 

Contributor and pilot Zacaroundtheworld used a DJI Mavic Pro drone and a GoPro ground camera to create this stunning video portrait of South Beach, Florida.  In just a few decades, this neighborhood at the south end of Miami Beach has gone from the urban wasteland depicted in the 1980's "Miami Vice" TV series to one of the world's most fashionable spots.  The video features some epic footage of sun-soaked SoBe, including some amazing shots of South Pointe and ships in the Government Cut channel.  

Check out this drone video of the world's first guitar-shaped hotel, compliments of contributor and pilot bluesky305.  It's the Hard Rock Hotel on South Florida's Gold Coast, which opened in the Fall of 2019.  The hotel is situated in the town of Hollywood (not to be confused with the California village of the same name) which lies between Miami to the south and Ft. Lauderdale to the north.  The project is an addition to the existing Hard Rock complex here, one of two in the Sunshine State along with Tampa.  

The Brickell neighborhood of Miami, Florida has seen some of the most concentrated highrise construction anywhere in the USA.  Located on and around Brickell Avenue south of the Miami River, the district is home to dozens of new residential and office towers.  The center of gravity of the what is essentially a new neighborhood is Brickell City Center, a massive mixed-use project.  Seen here in this drone video by ContemporAd, the project is currently in the middle of its second phase of construction.  

Take in these stunning 4K evening drone views of Brickel Key in Miami, Florida, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Santiago.  The man-made island, which covers about a third of a square km (around .16 square mi.) sits just offshore from the Brickell neighborhood south of the Miami River.  The key was created in the late 1800's with earth removed to form a channel at the mouth of the Miami River.  As you'll see in the video, Brickell Key has fully participated in Miami's great 21st century skyscraper building boom.  

Miami's Marlins Park is the home of the Marlins, the Florida city's Major League Baseball franchise.  Located just west of downtown, the 37k seat retractable-roof stadium opened in 2012.  It replaced Hard Rock Stadium, which had been home (under different names) to the club since its first season as an expansion team in 1993 and which continues to be the home field of the Miami Dolphins football team.  In this drone video by top contributor RG Drones, you'll get a bird's eye view of the inside and outside of the picturesque ballpark.  

Check out this drone video of one of the world's most well-known cruise ships docked in one of its most famous cruise ship ports: Miami Beach, Florida.  AirVuz contributor jcrrgoodlife managed to aerially film the Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas, the fourth of the line's Voyager Class ships.  This behemoth is over a thousand feet long (311 meters) and displaces about 140k tons.  When it was launched in 2002, it was one of the largest cruise ships in the world.  The ship has a crew of 1.2k and can carry up to 4k passengers.  

Check out this stunning drone hyperlapse from Miami, Florida, compliments of contributor kcmrgoodlife.  The video was shot from the perspective of the area around the MacArthur, which connects the mainland to Miami Beach and is just north of the cruise ship berths.  From this vantage point, you'll see the cruise ships and beyond them the southern part of Biscayne Bay, with the skyscrapers of the Downtown and Brickell neighborhoods to the right, and a plethora of buzzing boats in the foreground.  

Check out these stunning drone views of the South Pointe area of Miami Beach, Florida, compliments of top AirVuz contributor and pilot FrameworkFilms.  Also known as South Pointe Park, it's part of South Beach, the southernmost neighborhood of Miami Beach.  Miami Beach is a suburb of Miami which lies on an island across Biscayne Bay from the mainland.  The park lies on the Government Cut, a channel which connects the Bay of Biscayne to the Atlantic Ocean and which is known for the heavy cruise ship traffic which passes through it.  

Top AirVuz contributor Inigui put together this beautiful video of Weston, Florida, a planned community just west of Fort Lauderdale and immediately east of the Florida Everglades. It's a new city even by Floridian standards, having been established in the mid-1990's.  The city is distinguished by an extensive system of canals, which provide water access to most of its residents.  Home to a large Venezuelan population, it's considered one of the more desirable places to live in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale region.

Located on Biscayne Bay, PortMiami is one of America's most scenic ports.  Better known for its cruise ships, the port also handles cargo traffic.  Whether carrying tourists or containers, virtually all shipping in and out of the port use the Government Cut, a channel which runs between Fischer Island and Miami Beach's South Pointe,  and which is the only deep draft connection between the bay and the Atlantic Ocean.   Check out this drone video of a cargo ship heading through the channel out to sea, compliments of cubanfly.  

The Bilmore  Hotel is one of the most storied lodging and resort properties in South Florida.  Seen here in this excellent drone video by AirVuz contributor RG Drones, the Biltmore is located in the community of Coral Gables, just south of Miami.  Completed in 1927 just after the peak of Miami's 1920's real estate boom, it went into decline after World War II and ceased to be a hotel a number of years.  Extensively restored and re-opened as a hotel in 1987, it is once again one of the premiere hotels on the Gold Coast.

Homestead is one of the largest suburbs of Miami, Florida.  Seen here in this drone video, the city is located about 55 km (around 35 mi.) southwest of central Miami.  One of the oldest of the communities of Greater Miami, Homestead is the spot where the Florida Turnpike ends and becomes US Route 1.  In August of 1992, Homestead was devastated by Hurricane Andrew, a Category 4 storm which made landfall here and became the most costly natural disaster in United States history up to that point.  

Check out this drone video of the Miami suburb of Doral, Florida, compliments of Azunik Films.  With an estimated 2020 population of about 65k, it's one of the largest of the 36 communities within Miami-Dade County, the most populous of the three main counties of Florida's Gold Coast region.  Doral is situated just to the west of Miami International Airport, one of the USA's top international gateways.  The city is probably best known for the Doral Golf Course, now owned by the Trump Organization.

Check out this drone video of Deerfield Beach, Florida, compliments of new AirVuz contributor and pilot Rjay2.  Located about 40 miles (around 65 km) north of downtown Miami, Deerfield Beach is one of the larger communities within the greater Miami-Fort Lauderdale Metropolitan area.  Part of Broward County, it's roughly halfway between Fort Lauderdale to the south and Delray Beach to the north.  Its name derives from the plentiful deer which once roamed the lands along the Hillsborough River.  

Bayfront Park is one of the great open spaces of Miami, Florida.  As seen in this excellent drone video by AirVuz contributor David L, it's located on Biscayne Bay in the Downtown district, just north of the Miami River.  The video features footage of the FPL Solar Amphitheater at Bayfront Park, which is located within the park, as well as the Skyviews Miami Observation Wheel, which is located just to its northeast.  You'll also see Dodge Island and the Port of Miami, just a bit further to the east.

Miami, Florida is generally considered the water sports recreational capital of the USA.  The city and its suburbs surround Biscayne Bay, whose warm, protected waters are ideal for activities ranging from jetskiing to poweryachting.  In this first person view (FPV) piece from top AirVuz contributor NonexistentJay, you'll get a unique perspective of the SoFlo aquatic recreation scene from the perspective of a mini-quad.  Watch him chase personal watercraft, tear up boat marinas, and buzz the seaside condos in this water-wonderland.

AirVuz contributor and pilot drone_us brings us this rather haunting drone video of the Champlain Towers in Southern Florida in early 2019, roughly two years before the South Tower of the condominium complex collapsed in the early summer of 2021.   The complex is located in Surfside, a community situated a bit north of Miami Beach facing the Atlantic Ocean.  The collapse of the 40 year old tower on June 24, which was believed to be caused by unremediated structural deterioration, may have killed over 100 people.  

Check out this fantastic drone video from the legendary Haulover Beach on Southern Florida's Biscayne Bay, compliments of new contributor ponticelli.  One of the most popular spots for the Gold Coast's very active aquatic recreation community, Haulover Beach is located just north of Bal Harbor, on a narrow strip of landing separating the bay from the Atlantic Ocean.  The video features footage, shot from a respectful distance, of the "clothing option" section of the beach; this area is officially recognized as such by county authorities.

Check out this impressive drone video of the Port of Miami, Florida, compliments of AirVuz contributor Santiago.  Also known as PortMiami, the complex covers Dodge Island, an artificial island at the south end of Biscayne Bay.  The northern part of the island houses the port's passenger port, the busiest in the world.  The subject of the video is the cargo port on the south side of Dodge Island; the largest such facility in the state of Florida, it's one of the USA's top ten container ports by annual volume.  

AirVuz contributor and drone pilot cubanfly put together this visually compelling aerial mini-tour of Miami, considered by many to be the most picturesque major USA city.  The video opens with epic shots of the Brickell Avenue skyscrapers, the Government Cut channel used by cruise ships, and the glamorous high-rises of Miami Beach.  Then it's on to the iconic Biltmore Hotel in the close-in suburb of Coral Gables, a giant containership, and aerial glimpses of the epic recreational boating scene on Biscayne Bay.

Las Olas Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Fort Lauderdale, in the heart of Southern Florida's Gold Coast.  Seen here in this drone video by AirVuz contributor FoxFlight 2020, it's located near the eastern end of Las Olas Blvd./Route 842, on one of the barrier islands that sit between the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Intercoastal Waterway to the west.  The video was filmed with a DJI Mavic Pro 2 drone.  Open 24 hours, it's within easy walking distance of some of Fort Lauderdale's most well-known hotels.  

Florida was one of the last major states to order shelter-in-place during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic.  Despite being the third US state to report a confirmed case, and with a particularly vulnerable elderly population, it wasn't until April 1 that Governor Ron DeSantis issued an order effectively closing most businesses in the Sunshine State.  In this drone video by AirVuz contributor drone_us, you'll get an aerial view of the Miami area as Florida's largest metropolitan area weathered the crisis.  

Talented content creator and drone pilot David L brings us this excellent drone video from Boca Raton, Florida.   The area filmed in the video is the Boca Raton Inlet, which runs between two of the outlying barrier islands and connects the Intercoastal Waterway with the Atlantic Ocean.  Part of the Greater Miami metropolitan area (aka the Gold Coast), Boca Raton is situated in the southern part of Palm Beach County, roughly halfway between central Miami (to the south) and West Palm Beach (to the north).  

Villa Vizcaya is a famous estate on Biscayne Bay in Miami, Florida.  Seen here in this drone video by AirVuz contributor Santiago, the estate was originally owned by James Deering, whose family owned one of the predecessors of the great International Harvester combine assembled by JP Morgan just after the turn of the 20th century.  The villa is particularly well-known for its Italian Renaissance style gardens. Acquired by Miami-Dade County in 1952, the 50 acre site is now open to the public as a museum. 

Without doubt, Miami, Florida has the strongest boating culture of any major USA city.  With protected waters in the Bay of Biscayne and elsewhere along Florida's Gold Coast, the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area is home to tens of thousands of pleasure boats of all shapes and sizes.  One of the big gathering points for groups of boats is Haulover Sandbar, located on the interior (Biscayne) side of North Miami Beach.  Drone nerds shot this epic drone video of the Haulover party scene, filmed with a DJI Mavic Pro 2 drone. 

AirVuz contributor Radioflyerrick used a variety of drones (including several FPV drones) to create this marvelous aerial tour of the city of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  Located about 25 mi (around 40 km) of downtown Miami, Fort Lauderdale is the "second city" of the giant urban connurbation known variously as Greater Miami, Miami-Fort Lauderdale, and the Gold Coast.  In addition to some great cinematic shots of the Fort Lauderdale skyline, the video features some great "cinewhoop" style FPV footage from the scenic River Walk area.

Take in these aerial views of legendary South Beach in Miami, Florida, compliments of David L.  Also known as SoBe, South Beach is a neighborhood of Miami Beach, defined as the area of the island south of Dade Boulevard.  While South Beach was the first part of Miami Beach to be developed, the neighborhood went into decline in the 1960's, only to experience a renaissance beginning in the 1980's (in part due to its use as the primary filming location for the Miami Vice TV series).  It's now one of the wealthiest areas on the Gold Coast.  

While it's commonly assumed that South Beach is the southern tip of the island of Miami Beach, that's actually not the case. South of South Beach is South Pointe, which lies just across the Government Cut channel from Fischer Island.   With the explosive resurgence of South Beach over the past couple of decades, the island's development extends clear to its tip with the development of numerous high rises at South Pointe.  Get a bird's eye look at this aquatic paradise, compliments of Cubanfly.

Check out these beautiful aerial views of downtown Fort Lauderdale, Florida, compliments of FoxFlight 2020.  Located about 25 mi. (around 40 km) north of Downtown Miami, Fort Lauderdale is the "second" city of Florida's storied Gold Coast.  With its extensive system of canals, rivers, and other waterways, it's truly a boaters' paradise.  As you'll see in the video, the city's waterways function in some ways like a street system.  It takes its name from a series of forts built during the Second Seminole War of the mid-19th century. 

Check out this drone video of Marlins Park in Miami, Florida, compliments of contributor drone_us.  The stadium opened in 2012 on the site of the old Orange Bowl, just west of downtown.  It seats a bit over 37,000 fans for baseball games, making it one of the more intimate Major League Baseball venues.  One of a half-dozen MLB stadiums with a retractable roof, the park hosted the 2017 All Star Game.  Prior to moving the Marlins Park, the team played at what was originally called Joe Robbie Stadium.  

Miami, Florida can lay a good claim to being the Aquatic Recreation Capital of the USA.  Whether it's yachting, waterskiing, jetskiing, or just about any kind of fun on waves, it's hard to beat the Gold Coast.  And what better way to take in this legendary scene than from the perspective of a first person view (FPV) racing drone?  Top AirVuz content creator and FPV pilot Banner_Drones shows us the way with this epic piece from the land of sunshine.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July, 2021.  

Aerialfilmsmia created this beautiful drone video of the Biltmore Hotel in South Florida, one of the country's most well known lodgings.  Built in 1926, it's located in the community of Coral Gables, south of an inner suburb just south of Miami.  It was, for at least a time, the tallest building in Miami and home to the world's largest swimming pool.  It went into decline after World War II and ceased to be a hotel a number of years, re-entering the hotel business in 1987 as the fortunes of the area improved.  

Check out these excellent aerial views of Miami Beach, Florida, compliments of AirVuz contributor and drone pilot Balazs Busznyak.  A suburb of Miami, Miami Beach is situated on a series of barrier islands which form the eastern side of Biscayne Bay.  The video features some great shots of the Miami Beach skyline in the foreground and the skyline of the city of Miami in the background, with Biscayne Bay in between.  You'll also see some nice shots of the fabled beaches on Miami Beach's eastern shoreline.  

Contributor and drone pilot Santiago created this beautiful drone video of tiny Brickell Key in Miami, Florida.  The man-made island, which covers about a third of a square km (around .16 square mi.) sits just offshore from the Brickell neighborhood south of the Miami River.  The key was created in the late 1800's with earth removed to form a channel at the mouth of the Miami River.  As you'll see in the video, the key has participated in the great Miami skyscraper building boom which has transformed the city in the last two decades.
