Drone Videos of Ho Chi Minh City

Take an aerial tour of Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City in this excellent piece by AirVuz contributor and drone pilot Dang Cine.  The former South Vietnamese capital lost its name (Saigon) following the Reunification in 1975, but retained its position as the country's commercial and financial capital.  The center of a bustling metropolis of over 13 million, the city has gone "vertical" in the last decade: Ho Chi Minh City now boasts over two dozen skyscrapers over 150 meters (500 ft.), all of which have been built since 2010.  

Check out this magnificent dronelapse video from the great Vietnamese metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City, a city once known as Saigon.  The video opens with an epic sunset shot looking west over the Saigon River towards downtown, which is distinguished by the helicopter pad protruding from the Bitexco Financial Tower.  Starting at :45, there's a great shot of the traffic semi-circle around the Tran Hung Dao Statue in the modern city core, followed by an incredible fly-by of the Landmark 81 Tower just upstream; it's Vietnam's tallest skyscraper.

Take in these magnificent drone views of Ho Chi Minh City, compliments of top AirVuz contributor Dang Cine.  Shot at sunrise, the video was filmed along the Saigon River, which runs through the giant city and which is part of the great Mekong Delta.  The river runs a course of around 140 mi. (around 225 km), emptying into the Soài Rạp River just south of the river, which in turn empties into the South China Sea.  The Saigon River's meandering course through the city includes numerous bridges, many of which you'll see in the video.

Check out this excellent 4k dronelapse of Ho Chi Minh City, the great Vietnamese city formerly known as Saigon until the Reunification of North and South Vietnam in 1975.  The video opens with a shot facing west over the Saigon River towards the Bitexco Tower with its distinctive helipad, the city's tallest building when it was completed in 2010.  At about the 1:05 mark, there's a great shot of the 68 story Landmark 81 Tower, which lies a bit upstream on the river and has been the country's tallest since it was completed in 2018.

Check out these fantastic drone views of Ho Chi Minh, City, Vietnam, compliments of top contributor and pilot Dang Cine.  Most of the video was shot around the mist-enshrouded Bitexco Financial Tower, the second-tallest building in Vietnam's commercial and financial capital.  Distinguished by its prominent heli-pad, the 68 story office tower has a roof height of just over 260 meters or around 860 ft.  Completed in 2010, it's currently the second-tallest in HCMC after the Vietnam Landmark 81, which you'll see off in the distance.

The Landmark 81 Tower is the most prominent sign of the resurgence of the great city once known as Saigon.  Now Ho Chi Minh City, it's the largest in Vietnam as well as its commercial capital.   Located just west of the Saigon River in the Bình Thạnh District, the 81 story mixed-use building stands 460 meters tall (just over 1.5k ft.).  When it was completed in 2018, it was one of the world's 20 tallest skyscrapers.  Seen here in this excellent drone video from Dang Cine, the tower is part of the Vinhomes Central Park development.
