FPV Pilots to Watch - March 18, 2022

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot MANUEL BASSIL brings us this fantastic "behind the scenes" view of a TV news studio in Dubai.  Using a "cinewhoop" style FPV drone, he filmed the news desk and surrounding offices of Asharq News, a 24/7 Arabic language news network.  The fly-through demonstrates the power of these small ducted fan quads to safely film in an indoor environment.  This video was picked as a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week and also made the FPV Pilots to Watch list.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot zhoucreative brings us this fantastic FPV video using footage he shot for the 27th Critics' Choice Awards, which was held at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles in March of 2022.  The famously crescent-shaped hotel is one of the landmarks of Century City, a sort of "satellite" downtown (and one-time 20th Century Fox backlot) on LA's West Side which is considered the epicenter of the city's entertainment industry.  This video made the FPV Pilots to Watch list.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot Send It Productions was picked as a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week and also made the FPV Pilots to Watch list for this fantastic 2021 FPV reel.  The video features amazing FPV footage captured in the course of performing commercial work for high-profile clients ranging from Delta Airlines to Porsche.  Highlights include an epic ski sequence at the opening, a shot chasing a boat running in a tropical bay, some mountain biking and drift car chasing, and more.     

Check out this excellent 2021 first person view (FPV) drone reel by AirVuz contributor and pilot 4n5ch_2000.  While the video features some highly cinematic landscape-type shots, the most memorable highlights are a series of heartstopping action-type shots.  You'll chase kiteboarders, bikers, drift cars, motorcycle riders, and skiers, demonstrating once more the power of FPV drones to capture footage which was literally impossible to catch in the past.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in mid-March of 2022.  

To get a sense of how far first person view (FPV) drone videos have evolved from their decidedly non-cinematic origins, check out this fantastic FPV mountain surfing piece from AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot ARIA_FPV.  Shot in the Swiss Alps during the winter months, the video features some incredibly smooth footage flying over the ridges in some of the world's most spectacular alpine scenery.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch, the second video from this talented content creator to be so recognized.
