Cliff Jumping on Malapascua Island, Cebu

With uncountable rocky cliffs amongst its 7k+ islands, the Philippines is cliff jumping heaven.  If BASE jumping is too intense for you, this drone video of cliff jumping in the Philippines by contributor Michaelocana might be more your speed (or it might be just slightly less terrifying!).  Here he uses a drone to film jumpers dropping off a 50 ft. cliff on the small island of Malapascua, just north of Cebu Island in the central part of the archipelago.

Freefalling in Kuala Lumpur

Contributor and pilot DroneCult created this epic drone video of some VERY brave individuals BASE jumping from the KL Tower, the communications tower in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  The tower stands 335 meters (1.1k ft) at the roof level, and with its antennae it's just a bit shorter than the Petronas Towers.  The tower made a cameo appearance in the opening scene of the 2015 blockbuster Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation (2015), the fifth installment of the Mission: Impossible series.

Base Jumping in Norway

Kjerag Mountain in southwestern Norway offers one of the best BASE jumping spots anywhere on earth - from the mountain top it's a nearly 1k meter (3.2k ft) vertical drop to the Lysefjord fjord below.  Pilot Viking filmed an epic BASE jumping session from this hallowed spot (called Preikestolen or "Pulpit Rock"), using a drone to capture some VERY brave BASE jumpers plying their craft.  If that isn't enough, it's got some professional pyrotechnics thrown in to make things even more interesting!

Summer Vibes // Cliff Jumping with the Boys - A Wyld View Film

Summer is a time for lazy days at the beach, easy reads, and...cliff jumping!  Welcome to the world of WyldView films, who makes some of the most creative drone-fueled VLOG's out there.  In this video, he uses a DJI Phantom 4 drone and a gimbal stabilized ground camera to film some of "the boys" having a very good time dropping themselves off of some epic cliffs into some very inviting waters.

iDrone Haw...

Hawaii's rocky geology and ubiquitous Pacific waters make for some of the best cliff jumping action anywhere.  In this video, iDrone Hawaii used a drone and a waterproof camera to film some cliff divers jumping off of Black Rock in Maui.  He skillfully edits the footage to show the jumpers filmed by the drone, and then cuts to the underwater footage as they hit drop into the blue ocean waters below before resurfacing.

Waimea Bay on Northern Oahu in Hawaii is known for some of the best cliff jumping action in the world.  One of the most popular spots from which to jump is a giant rock which sits just offshore, which is often crawling with cliff jumpers.  Top contributor Ryzone used a drone to create this short but epic aerial look at jumpers from this piece of stone which is known by a simple yet elegant name: "Da Big Rock".

VerJan FPV...

FPV pilot VerJan FPV never rejects an opportunity for a unique flight experience as seen in this freestyle chase around B.A.S.E. jumpers!  As these thrill-seekers careen off a steep cliff, VerJan FPV makes sure to capture the action from all possible angles.  The first diver free falls downwards upon his quad and releases his parachute slingshotting himself back up and away.  See both diver and quad flip and roll through the air in this awesome drone vid!

Shooting for the GoPro Million Dollar Challenge

VerJan FPV...

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot VerJan FPV clearly knows how to rock a much so that last year, he was one of the winners of the GoPro Hero 7 Black Million Dollar Challenge!  In this video, he went after it again with the next=generation GoPro Hero 8 Black strapped to his racing drone, and he chased after the some adrenaline junkies and their B.A.S.E. jumping antics.  For this incredible piece, we reserved a spot for him on our FPV Pilots to Watch list in February, 2020.
