Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot Ivan Merino brings us this epic "cinewhoop" style first person view (FPV) drone video of an electronic music concert on the Spanish island of Ibiza.  The video was filmed at the Hï Ibiza, a new club on this small island in the western Mediterranean Sea and one of the most well-known party capitals in Europe.  In 2022, this venue was named the #1 club in the world by the influential DJ Magazine.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in February of 2023.  

"Cinewhoop" style first person view (FPV) drones are creating opportunities for us to experience events like music concerts from an entirely new perspective.  In this fantastic video by top contributor Clark Lupton, you'll get to see rapper Megan Thee Stallion performing at the Rolling Loud festival at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.  Born Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, this talented artist has over 25 million followers on Instagram in 2021, and in 2020 was named one of the world's 100 most influential people by Time Magazine.  

Burning Man is an annual multiday concert and personal discovery event held in the desert of Nevada in the western United States.  The event began as a modest affair in the mid-1980's in San Francisco, switching to a desert location the next decade.  The modern era Burning Man see tens of thousands of attendees, many of whom camp in the desert during the run of the event.  Contributor and pilot Memmi used a DJI Inspire 2 drone to fly over the Burning Man grounds, treating us to this amazing aerial video.  

Get a unique perspective of a well-known Turkish Jazz festival in this fantastic first person view (FPV) video, which was filmed with a "cinewhoop" style drone by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot EminFPV.  The Nilüfer Jazz Festival is held every year in the Nilüfer District of Bursa, Turkey's fourth-largest city, in the northwestern part of the country.  The festival is part of the European Jazz Network.  This video was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in September of 2022.  

"Cinewhoop" style first person view (FPV) drones - which are lightweight and have ducted propellers - have opened up new vistas for filming in situations which involve proximity to people.  A great example is music concerts, which would ordinarily be difficult to safely film close-up.  Witness this fantastic FPV piece by top AirVuz contributor dronujemy_com.  He used one of these ducted quads to film the Heartbeat Festival in Trzcianka, Poland.  Watch how he's able to effortless cruise over the heads of the crowd and right onto the stage! 

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot BlinKFPV put together this fantastic FPV piece to promote the Hellfest music festival in northwestern France.  The festival is held annually in mid-June near the town of Clisson in the Loire-Atlantique.  The festival dates to 2006, although it evolved out of an earlier festival which ran several years earlier.  WIth past daily attendance at time exceeding 50,000, it's one of France's largest music festivals.  This video made the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June of 2021.  

Top AirVuz contributor Dirty Dishes Productions is at the forefront of using "cinewhoop" style first person view (FPV) drones to film high-profile events that would be difficult if not impossible to film using gimbal-stabilized drones such as the DJI Mavic series.  Concerts are a classic example, and in this video you'll see how they were able to film a concert by the British Afro-Beats group NSG.  Filmed with a "stripped" GoPro Hero action camera.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in December of 2022.   

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot Ykaanyildirim brings us this fantastic "cinewhoop" style FPV video from a giant concert in Istanbul, Turkey.  It's a great example of how these small, ducted-fan quads can be flown safely around large crowds of people, allowing us to experience familiar scenes from an entirely new kind of perspective.  Thoroughly entertaining to watch, this video was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July, 2022.   

Machaca Fest is an annual music concert at Parque Fundidora in Monterrey, Mexico's second largest city and capital of  the state of Nuevo Leon in the north-central part of the country.  The lineup is eclectic; for example, 2018 saw appearances from indie pop singer Mon Laferte, reggaeton stars Don Omar and J Balvin, and a headlining performance from alt rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars.  Contributor The Drone Experience created this amazing aerial video of the concert in 2016.

Forget Burning Man (the legendary music festival held in the desert of Nevada in the USA), how about the Burning Hand? Yes, you heard that right.  Contributor and drone pilot Dice Travels was in Kenya and was given the opportunity to film a truly epic New Years' Eve celebration in this African country.  As the title suggests, the highlight of this particular blowout was a giant hand made of straw which was set afire in a lake, music and lights a-blazing.  It's a truly unbelievable sight, especially when seen via a bird's eye view.  

See the 2019 Rock in Rio music festival by drone and ground camera in this fast-paced, hyper-lapse-heavy drone video by Peu Ribeiro. The festival, located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at the Barra Olympic Park had quite the lineup, featuring artists Drake, Ellie Goulding, Bon Jovi, Dave Matthews Band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Iron Maiden and many more. It’s now one of the world’s biggest music festivals and you’re getting a taste of the action in this video. 

The area around Brainerd in northern Minnesota has become one of the premiere lake getaway districts in the Midwestern USA.  One of the big summer events here is Lakes Jam, a three day concert festival held on the grounds of the Brainerd International Raceway.  AirVuz contributor and pilot Blaze was hired by the concert to film the event in 2019, which marked its seventh anniversary.  Watch his video footage and you'll see some of his footage from the event, which included 24 musical acts.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot FietFPV used "naked" GoPro Hero 8 action camera mounted to a "cinewhoop" style FPV quad to create this memorable viedo of the 2022 Pestapora Music Festival in Jakarta, Indonesia.  With its light weight and ducted (ie, shielded) propellers, with an experienced pilot and proper safety procedures this type of drone setup is ideal for filming in close proximity to people.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in May of 2023.    

If you don't normally associate the Southeast Asian nation of Vietnam with big-time music festivals, this video will make you think again.  Top contributor jantrnkaproductions ventured to an 11 day pop/techno festival called Epizodes on Phu Quoc Island to create this rather remarkable video that includes both drone and ground camera footage.  The island is one of a group of islands in the far southern end of the country in the Kiên Giang Province.  This was the second year of the festival.

Here's something you definitely don't see everyday: it's a first person view (FPV) drone video of a giant gathering of over 7k guitarists simultaneously playing the 1960's classic "Hey Joe" in a prominent public square in Poland.  Yes, you've got that right.  Top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot cine_ghost used a "cinewhoop" style quad to record 7,676 guitarists simultaneously playing the song, which was immortalized by Jimmy Hendrix in his 1966 recording.  The gathering was held in the main public square of Wroclaw.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot FLy-Cam.Fun won a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in May of 2023 with this excellent FPV video of a live New Years Eve music concert which was broadcast on Polsat TV, one of the three main Polish TV networks.  The video is a great example of how "cinewhoop" style FPV quads - which are light weight and have ducted propellers - can be flown around people and in other situtations where larger drones present significant safety issues.  

The Sabroso Music Festival is held at Doheny Point Beach in Dana Point, California, a beach community on the Pacific Ocean coastline in Orange County.  Contributor Bbloss decided to make a highly creative video involving the concert and the surrounding SoCal scene.  Using a DJI Inspire 2 drone, his video has awesome aerial shots of the concert intermixed with bird's eye views of surfers at a nearby beach.

Top contributor Volovisione created this brilliant video highlighting their work with a major outdoor music event in Milan, Italy.  It's called Monster Night, and it's a major party in the heart of Italy's second largest city.  Held before Halloween, the EDM festival is patterned after the Monster Massive festival which has been held in Los Angeles since the late 1990's.  The expertly-produced video captures the excitement around the event, in which thousands of people fill the city's streets and venues.    

Check out these aerial views of a well-known folk music festival in Estonia, compliments of contributor Blizzardfoto.  It's called the Viljandi Folk Music Festival, and it's held the last weekend in July in the festival's namesake town. With a population of about 17k, Viljandi is one of the larger towns in south-central Estonia.  The festival generally draws about 25k spectators, and it's one of the largest folk festivals in Europe.  Musical act headliners include some of the top folk groups in Europe.  

Content creator and drone pilot Zmijans created this amazing aerial video of the EXIT Music Festival, one of the largest in Serbia.  It's held in early July in Novi Sad, Serbia's second largest city and generally considered its cultural capital.  The festival has been running for nearly 20 years, and features internationally known musical acts.  While Novi Sad isn't the largest city in Serbia (that title goes to Belgrade) it is in some respects the cultural center of the country and thus a natural spot for large events such as EXIT.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot Luke Bredar brings us this unique perspective of an outdoor music festival.  The video was filmed with a "cinewhoop" style FPV drone from Aerialvation.  Weighing in at around 9 oz. (about 250 g), the quad's ducted propellers allow it to be safely flown around (and over) crowds of people, most of whom barely take notice of it.  These drones are becoming increasingly popular for filming public events.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in September, 2021.  

Football (soccer in the USA) plays an outsized role in Turkey's sporting life, so it's a big deal when a team with a nearly four-decade draught to win the coveted Turkish League Championship.  When the Trabzonspor team did just that, it was time to celebrate.  AirVuz contributor Ykaanyildirim was there with a "cinewhoop" style FPV drone to capture the celebration, which included a music concert and extensive fireworks.  The team hails from the Black Sea city of Trabzon.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in May, 2022.    

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, better known as Jazz Fest, is an annual celebration of the music form which was born in the African American community of the Big Easy.  The festival started in 1970.  Held the last week of April, it's one of the city's biggest events and draws jazz lovers from all over the world.  In this drone video by contributor Bumble Bee Productions, you can see some of the sights and sounds of the 2019 Jazz Fest, which is held at the Fair Grounds Race Course north of downtown.

Check out this excellent first person view (FPV) drone video of a music festival on the Mediterranean island of Malta, compliments of top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Fpv_travel_girl.  Featuring top performers from the worlds of EDM, pop and house music, the festival was held in August, 2022 (following a two year hiatus due to the COVID 19 pandemic) in Ta Qali National Park, which is located near the center of the main island.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in May of 2023.  

For a few days in mid-August, 1969, a dairy farm near Bethel, New York hosted a music festival billed as "An Aquarian Exposition: 3 Days of Peace & Music".  Featuring acts like Janis Joplin, the Grateful Dead, the Who, Joan Baez, the Band, and many more, the festival came to be known for the name of a nearby town: Woodstock.  In this drone video by contributor Chris Bonnano, you can get a bird's eye view of the Woodstock site, which was also used for a disastrous Woodstock revival concert in 1999.  

Held in the Midwestern town of Cadott, Wisconsin, Country Fest is one of the largest multi-artist outdoor country music events in the United States.  In 2017, AirVuz collaborated with the concert organizer to provide aerial video services for the event.  AirVuz FAA licensed pilots flew over designated areas of the concert and created this amazing video which features both ground and aerial footage. 

For the third year in a row, AirVuz was an official media partner of the Basilica Block Party, a two night extravaganza to benefit the Basilica of Minneapolis, just outside of downtown.  The 2019 edition marked the 25th festival, which began as a one-night concert to help fund the ongoing preservation of the USA's oldest basilica.  Held on July 12 and 13, the lineup included Kacey Musgraves, Jason Mraz, Hanson, and Twin Cities sensations Semisonic and the Jayhawks.

The Basilica Block Party began in the 1990's as a single two day music festival to benefit the Basilica of St. Mary, which sits on the outskirts of downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota.  The Block Party is now an annual event featuring dozens of musical acts attended by tens of thousands.  Since 2017, AirVuz has served as an official media partner of the Block Party, enabling it to create amazing videos of the event which combine drone and ground footage of the center city at the height of its summer splendor.

The Zombie Pub Crawl is a one night multi-stage concert held in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota.  The ZPC takes place during Halloween season, usually  in mid-late October.  The event is believed to be the largest pub crawl in the USA, with tens of thousands attending.  Since 2016, AirVuz has collaborated with the ZPC organizers to provide aerial and ground footage.  Here is the highlight reel from the 2017 ZPC. 

AirVuz has been proud to be a media partner of the Minneapolis Zombie Pub Crawl, the first and largest of its kind, which draws tens of thousands each year to enjoy a variety of musical acts.  Held in mid-October in deference to the (sometimes early arriving) Minnesota winters, in 2018 the Minneapolis Zombie Pub Crawl decamped from downtown and returned to Northeast Minneapolis, the rapidly-redeveloping part of town from which it arose.  The Minneapolis ZPG holds a Guinness-certified record for the largest zombie pub crawl.
