A Solstice Reckoning
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist RobSkyHigh brings us this stunning drone video from Utah's Wasatch Mountains. The video was shot during the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year. Accompanying the magnificent footage is an inspiring message regarding the fragility of the Earth and humanity's collective responsibility to maintain. The Wasatch Range runs on a north-south for a length of about 160 mi. (around 260 km), with its northern end near the Utah/Idaho border. It's part of the Rocky Mountains system.

Every year my wife and I like to take a hike and decorate a tree on the Winter Solstice. It's a time for us to think about the earth and our responsibility towards preserving it for generations to come. This video is from a year of our experiences enjoying the unique Utah landscape that we are so fortunate to live in. It's also a message to take time and think about the importance of combating climate change. Most of the video was shot using a Mavic 2 Pro, and a Sony a7III. I also use Edelkrone motorized sliders, Polar Pro ND filters and Zhyium stabilizers. Thanks for watching!
