A summer day in Hvittingfoss, Norway
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
In this drone video by ToB Creations, you'll get an aerial view of a town at the heart of the Norwegian forest products industry. The video was filmed in the summertime over the town of Hvittingfoss, which is about a half hour's drive south of Kongsberg in Buskerud County, in the southeastern part of the country. Situated on the Numedalslågen River, the waterfall of Hvittingfoss helped to propel power the town's paper mills, allowing Hvittingfoss to become one of the world's most important centers of pulp and paper construction.

Hvittingfoss is a village in the southernmost part of Kongsberg municipality in Norway. It is a place with history that stretches far back. The oldest signs of settlements here are petroglyphs that are over 3000 years old by the waterfall that bears the same name as the village. The waterfall has been an important factor throughout the ages. There has previously been mill operation in the waterfall and in the 17th century there were also several sawmills here. Since then, there has also been wood processing and paper production on site. At the beginning of the 20th century, the English paper company Edw. Lloyd Ltd. bought and operated factories here. Today, the waterfall is used for hydropower. The car parts manufacturer Kongsberg Automotive also has a department in Hvittingfoss. This was filmed on one of the hottest and nicest days in the district this summer (2021). Hope you enjoy this short video. 🌞
