Manaus, Brazil is the largest and arguably the most important city in the entire Amazon Basin of South America.  The capital of the giant state of Amazonas, it's located near the confluence of the Solimões River (sometimes called the Upper Amazon River) with the Rio Negro, its giant tributary.  Located in the heart of the world's largest rainforest, Maunas was estimated to be Brazil's seventh-largest city as of 2019.  Check out Manaus and its watery surroundings from above in this beautiful drone video.
