Gili Air is one of the three "Gili Islands" off the northwestern coast of Lombok, in the province of West Nusa Tenggara. Despite being the closest to the "mainland", Gili Air is less developed than its neighbors, Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan. In recent years, the Gili's have become popular destinations for travelers seeking more adventurous alternatives to Bali, which lies to their west.
