Aletsch Arena - Largest Glacier in the Alps | Exploring Switzerland 44

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

AirVuz contributor and pilot maik kellerhals brings us this excellent drone video of the largest glacier in the Alps Mountains: Switzerland's Aletsch Glacier.  Situated in the Bernese Alps in the Valais Canton, the 14 mi. long (23 km) glacier takes up an astounding volume of almost four cubic mi. (about 15 cubic km).  Formed by the convergence of four smaller glaciers around Konkordia, the Alsetsch eventually flows into the Rhone River, of which Lake Geneva is part.  Like almost all of the world's glaciers, it is now retreating.
