AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : One of the most popular spots for rock climbing in Turkey is in the area around the Ballikayalar Park, which lies in the Gebzi district of the Koaceli province in the Marmara region. It's situated less than an hour's drive east and a bit south of Istanbul, near the Gulf of Izmit (an extension of the Sea of Marmara). The limestone outcrops here make for some great climbing.
