Bolivia in 4K Video - Interstellar

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : The central South American country of Bolivia has an incredible terrain. Ranging from the Andes Mountains, to the Atacama Desert, to the Amazon Rainforest the natural beauty is hard to beat. Pilot and producer Masoud Sakhinia thought the same thing when he flew there. The film “Interstellar” inspired this edit where the pilot includes shots of Salar de Uyuni (the world’s largest salt flat), time-lapses of the endless stars, and stunning views of the Atacama Desert.

This was only the second ever video I had made and to date, is still my favourite. I was filming throughout my trip in South America and had planned to do a much longer South America video. However, my drone stopped working in Peru and I realised the content I had from Bolivia deserved it's own video. Interstellar is one of my favourite ever films and Hans Zimmer is my favourite ever composer. This is where the inspiration for the video came from and I wanted to exaggerate the unbelievable mirror-like landscape of the Uyuni Salt Flats alongside the generally outer-worldly geography of this country. The film was made using the Mavic Air, alongside stabilised shots from the Olympus OMD EM-10 Mark iii which houses in-body stabilisation within a very compact body and Samsung Galaxy S9+. I aim to create videos which stand out from the rest in their creativity and use of music and Bolivia provided the perfect platform to achieve this.
