DANCING FLAMINGOS - STROFYLIA LAKE HELLAS-GREECE - MAVIC AIR DRONE - 4k
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Here is a marvelous aerial view of some beautiful wetlands and bird (flamingo) life in southern Greece, compliments of contributor SioU. Shot on a DJI Mavic Air drone, the video captures some of the bird life in the area around Lake Stroflyia. The area is a small peninsula jutting off the northwestern coast of the Peloponnese region, just a short drive west of the regional capital Patras. It acts as a natural wildlife sancturary and is becoming a popular eco-tourism destination.

I cannot describe to you how lucky I felt... You will remember my words in the end of this video... In the northwestern part of the Peloponnese (40km west of Patras city) lies Strofylia's lake with its forest. An amazing natural reserve has grown on this tiny peninsula, separating Lake Prokopos from the Ionian Sea by a thin strip of pine trees. The forested area and the adjacent Kotychi Lagoon have created a fascinating mosaic of seaside natural habitats. Through time, sand dunes along the coast, sculptured by the waves and the sea currents, have formed Prokopos Lake, Kotychi Lagoon and the Strofylia Forest, creating an exquisite natural environment. It is a national park of 22 km² which is part of the Natura 2000 network and is protected under the Ramsar Convention. Many species seek shelter at this magical place, among them the beautiful dancing flamingos... Music: Tom Day + MonsoonSiren - Love is Rare If you ever visit Peloponnese do not miss to stop at Strofylia' s lake...
