Dam and castle Kriebstein - Saxony - Germany
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Here's an aerial view of a well-known castle in the northern German state of Saxony, compliments of Mischa Haubold. It's called Kriebstein Castle, and it sits atop a hill overlooking the Zschopau River near the town of Waldheim, close to the Czech border. The castle dates to the Late Gothic period, having been completed around the turn of the 15th century. It was modified in the late 15th century, again in the late 17th century, and once more in the mid-19th century when it acquired its Neo Gothic elements.

The medieval castle Kriebstein is located in central Saxony, right in the center of the city triangle Dresden-Chemnitz-Leipzig and is a popular destination. Saxony's most beautiful knight's castle, a closed, completely preserved and completely renovated building complex from the late Gothic period, rises on a steep cliff above the river Zschopau.
