Dolomites - Chapter I - SellaRonda
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Check out these magnificent 4k drone views of Italy's Pordoi Pass, compliments of AirVuz contributor Kpax. One of the highest passes through the Dolomite Mountains, Pordoi connects the town of Arabba in the Belluno Province (Veneto Region) with Canazei in the neighboring province of Trentino in the Trentino-Alto Adige Region. The pass has an altitude of just over 2.2k meters above sea level (around 7.35k ft.); only Stella Pass has a higher altitude.

Pordoi Pass Pordoi is a pass in the Dolomites in the Alps, located between the Sella group in the north and the Marmolada group in the south. The pass is at an altitude of 2,239 m (7,346 ft), and the road crossing the pass connects Arabba (Livinallongo del Col di Lana) with Canazei (Fascia Valley). It is the second highest surfaced road traversing a pass in the Dolomites, after the Sella Pass. Sella Pass The Sella Pass (2218 m) is a high mountain pass between the provinces of Trentino and South Tyrol in Italy. It connects the Val Gherdëina in South Tyrol and Canazei in the Fascia Valley in Trentino. With Pordoi Pass, Gardena Pass, and Campolongo Pass, this pass forms a quadrangle around the Sella group. In the winter, ski trails are prepared that make the entire round in both directions, known as the SellaRonda. Gardena Pass Gardena Pass is a high mountain pass in the Dolomites of the South Tyrol in northeast Italy. At an elevation of 2,136 m (7,008 ft) above sea level, the pass connects Sëlva in the Val Gardena on the west side with Corvara in the Val Badia. The road over it comprises part of the famous Sella Ring, in which four linked passes (Gardena, Sella, Pordoi, and Campolongo) encircle the spectacular Sella group. The route becomes busy with tourists, motorcyclists, and cyclists during the summer. There are tourist accommodations on the pass itself, and hikers visit the pass to access the dramatic Dolomite mountains. Campolongo Pass The Campolongo Pass (1875 m) is a high mountain pass in the Dolomites in South Tyrol in Italy. It connects Corvara in the Val Badia and Arabba. The pass can be crossed in winter on skis.
