Drone Video of Turkey's Eastern Express

Updated 07/18/2019 03:03
The Eastern Express, or Doğu Ekspresi in Turkish, is an overnight passenger train operated by Turkish State Railways. Drone pilot jesus_tr captured the popular tourist attraction from above. The Eastern Express runs 814 miles from Ankara, the capital of Turkey, to Kars.

In 1936, it was the first overnight train service east of Ankara. The train journey is now a popular attraction and frequently sells out. Over the course of 24 hours, riders are treated to pristine views of the Turkish countryside, particularly during the snow-capped winter months. The most popular month to take the trip is January.

Travelers can book a variety of accommodations on the train including sleeper cars.
