Exploring Crete / Greece has Soul / Katerina Soldatou
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Top contributor Badios has used the art of aerial dancing to highlight some of Greece's most spectacular locations. In this piece, he filmed dancer Katerina Soldatou performing her signature routine in two of the most iconic spots on the island of Crete. The first has her suspended below the Aradena Bridge, a famous span which crosses a gorge in the southern Chania region. At about the 6:45 mark, you'll see her performing similar feat at the Koules Fortress (Castello a Mare) in the port of Heraklion, the island's capital city.

"Exploring Crete", the most magnificent island in the Mediteranean with diverse natural beauty and history. We planned a trip for just ten days at a place that would take a decade to explore while many different people welcomed us and helped in order to make the most out of our time. Our goal was to dance under the bridge of Aradena at Sfakia and help raise awareness for the organization "Together we beat cancer". The storm Zinovia also didn't made things easy but right after this accomplishment the good news just kept flowing. We went freediving at a magical place, filled our bucket list with tons of future plans and I also ended up dancing 40m above the historical fortress of Koule at Heraklion port. I just loved this place, we'll be back for sure on day again. Maybe you can make it happen! Share our story if you like it, be creative, be well, go outdoors and play more!
