A nuclear power plant is a thermal power station that generates its power from the heat source that is a nuclear reactor. Oftentimes when one thinks of nuclear power plants, you think of the Chernobyl or Fukushima disasters. Many nuclear power plants have been shut down since those disasters because the risk of a meltdown is simply too much. These power plants in the United Kingdom were not nuclear, but have been abandoned nonetheless, making for a fantastic bando to dive.
