Helmcken Falls is situated on the Murtle River, a tributary of the Clearwater River. It's part of Wells Gray Provincial Park in the east-central part of British Columbia. The great falls feature a drop of 141 meters (463 ft.), making it the fourth-tallest waterfall in Canada. The other three largest waterfalls - Hunlen, Takakkaw, and Della Falls - are all also located in BC.
