The third-largest of the Balearic Islands after Mallorca and Menorca, it lies off the Spanish Mediterranean coastline, due east of the port city of Valencia. Discovered by the "hippie" crowd in the 1960's, Ibiza is widely considered to be one of the party and nightlife capitals of the Mediterranean. Outside of the clubs, much of the island is actually part of a UNESCO World Heritage site.
