Check out this fascinating drone video of an abandoned village in the hills of western Turkey, compliments of dedefuat.  It's called Kayaköy, and it's just a few km/mi from the town of Fethiye in the Muğla Province.  Much of the town was built in the 18th century, and it had a population of about 6k at the beginning of 20th century.  During the ethnic violence that erupted during and immediately after World War I, the town was completely abandoned.  It remains what you see today - a ghost town.
