It's near the seaside resort town of Ağva in the Province of Istanbul, in the Marmara region which covers the northwestern corner of the country. Located a bit over an hour's drive east and a bit north of the city of Istanbul, this area of the Black Sea coast is a popular beach destination for visitors from the giant city.
