Laguna de 7 Colores, Bacalar en tiempos de Covid 19

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

AirVuz contributor and pilot jelipegomez brings us these beautiful aerial views of the Lake of Seven Colors, a lagoon in southern Mexico.  Sometimes called Bacalar Lagoon, the long, narrow lake runs a length of about 42 km (around 25 mi.) roughly parallel to Chetumal Bay (an inlet of the Caribbean) in the state of Quintana Roo on the Yucatán Peninsula.  Only two km at its widest (just over a mile), the lagoon is part of a giant system of underground caves and rivers which runs parallel to the coast.
