Lee Circle
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Here's a nice aerial view of a once-prominent landmark in New Orleans, Louisiana, compliments of AirVuz contributor and drone pilot WesTheDroneMan. It's the statue of Robert E. Lee in Lee Circle, an important traffic roundabout at the intersection of St. Charles and Howard Avenues in the heart of the city. The monument to the Confederate general was erected in 1884. It was removed in 2017 as part of a nationwide movement to remove symbols of the Confederacy in public places throughout the American South.
