Magical morning at the Dutch windmills (4K)
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
For a first upload to AirVuz, new contributor Rutger brings us these fantastic early-morning aerial views of the Windmills at Kinderdijk, one of the most iconic sights of the Netherlands. Part of their namesake village in South Holland, the 19 mills were built between 1738-40. Their purpose was to keep water out of the surrounding polders. The largest collection of Dutch windmills, the site is a Dutch National Monument and has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Magical morning at the Dutch windmills (4K) It was 6.00 AM on November 10, 2019 when the alarm clock went off. I drove to the windmills of Kinderdijk. Those beautiful windmills got their status as UNESCO World Heritage. It was such a perfect morning. It froze and there was much fog! From the ground it was unbelievable beautiful, but from the air it was just magic. A magical scene. My hands were freezing, but flying the drone in such circumstances was worth every single second!
