Magical mornings in Ireland

The first stop is the ruins atop the Hill of Slane in County Meath, Ireland's northeasternmost county, including the remains of an early Gothic style tower. Then it's on to three spots in County Louth to the south: (1) Melifont Abbey, the first Cistercian abbey in the country; Moneyveg Tower, a 19th century folly; and the ruins of an old monastery in Monasterboice ruins, near Drogheda.
