The Cajón del Maipo is an Andean canyon located in the southeastern zone of the Metropolitan Region, Chile. It corresponds to the high basin of the Maipo River , where it is boxed in by hills, cliffs and massifs. The area also has a series of confluent rivers such as the Volcán, Yeso and Colorado rivers, and other estuaries such as San Gabriel, Manzanito, Coyanco, Sauce, Manzano and San José.
