NIEDERMAIRHOF - SOUTH TYROL

Top contributor Chris Borg created this drone video from a beautiful spot in the far north of Italy.  It's the area around the town of Bruneck (Brunico), and it's located in the South Tyrol province near the Austrian border.  The town sits in the Puster Valley, which is created by the Alps and which runs between Italy and Austria.  This area had been part of Austria-Hungary before World War I, and (like the rest of the South Tyrol province) it came under Italian control following the Austrian collapse in 1918.
