AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Check out this drone video of a well-known summer manor in northern Germany, compliments of content creator and pilot OBENDROHNE. It's called Schloss Belvedere, and it's located on the outskirts of Weimar in the state of Thuringia. The Baroque style landmark was built between 1724-32 as a retreat for Ernest Augustus I, the Duke of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach. The castle contains an orangerie, a type of room created in many estates of the period to protect fruit trees during the cold winter months.

The baroque summer residence, which today presents paintings, interiors and filigree crafts of the 18th century, provides an illustrious insight into the ducal life. Centuries ago, the impressive landscape park with the important plant collection in the Orangerie was a popular destination for the Weimar citizens. Duke Ernst August of Saxe-Weimar and Eisenach had the castle built between 1724 and 1748 including an orangery and a pleasure and maze.
