Palamidi Fortress Nafplio, Greece

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Παλαμήδι is the Greek word for Palamidi, the great fortress of the Peloponnese region built by the Venetian Empire during its second occupation of Greece. The fortress is made of stone and was completed in 1714. Unfortunately for the Venetians, the Turks captured the fortress only a year later and occupied it for nearly a century until the Greeks took it, and their country, back in 1822. AirVuz contributor and pilot Sphereview does a marvelous job showcasing the centuries-old fortress in this aerial video.
