Check out this fantastic drone video from the Neelum Valley in northern Pakistan, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot jawadahmedparas.  The video was filmed over and around Lake Patlian.  The Neelum Valley is located in Azad Kashmir, a semi-autonomous region of the country which is part of the historical region of Kashmir that is shared between Pakistan and India.  The roughly 90 mi. long valley (around 150 km) is lined by mountains with peaks of up to 17k ft. above sea level (around 5.2k m.)

Patlian Lake Neelum Valley Aerial View

 

Patlian Lake is located in Neelum Valley, Azad Kasmir, at an altitude of 3,950 meters above sea level. The lake is at a distance of a few kilometers from Ratti Gali Lake. It is accessible from the Lawat side, and the main source of water for this lake is from the glaciers in the surrounding mountains.

It will be accessed from Dowarian Village toward Ratti Gali Lake before 3 to 4 Kilometers roads turns toward the left side and goes close to Patlian Lake. Trek is full of greenery and beautiful scenic views.

HOW TO REACH?   1 – Islamabad to Lawat Neelum Valley

Both public and personal transport can be used.

 2 – Lawat to Patlian Lake

Camping at Patlian Lake is available for night's stay.
