The Port of Felixstowe is located in its namesake city in Suffolk, one of the counties of the East of England region northeast of London. Situated on the North Sea, more or less due west of the Dutch city of Rotterdam, the port handles nearly 50% of the UK's containerized shipping traffic. Its two main terminals handle about 4 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU's) per year.
