AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Take a first person view (FPV) drone tour of a landmark of ancient drone in this fantastic piece by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Sky Surfers. In it, he uses his mini-quad to gain a unique perspective of the Mausoleum of Augustus. Dating to the first century BC, the mausoleum is located on the Piazza Augusto Imperatore and just off the Tiber River. The site had been closed for 14 years for restoration, just re-opening in early 2021. This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in May of 2021.

We had the opportunity to film the Mausoleum of Augustus in Rome: this is a large tomb built by the Roman Emperor Augustus in 28 BC. It's been close for 50 years, and we had the chance to film it for the new opening. Incredible feelings flying within such an historical place that has more than 2000 years!
