Samana Dominican Republic 4K
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Here's a beautiful drone's eye view of an idyllic town in the Dominican Republic, compliments of Travel Droner. It's called Santa Bárbara de Samaná, and it lies on the north shore of Samaná Bay, a body of water created by the Samaná Peninsula which juts out from the DR's northern coast. It lies just a few km/mi. southwest of Playa Rincón, which lies on the opposite (north) side of the peninsula and was the last stop of Christopher Columbus on his first voyage to the New World.

Samaná (Santa Bárbara de Samaná) is a town on the Samaná Peninsula, in the Dominican Republic. It overlooks Samaná Bay, which plays host to thousands of humpback whales during winter’s mating season. Nearby, the Whale Museum's prime attraction is a huge whale skeleton. The town's waterfront promenade, the Malecón, has restaurants and bars. In the bay, Cayo Levantado is a tiny island known for its palm-lined beaches.
