Seaplane takeoff in the Maldives

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Some of the waters around the Maldives islands in the Indian Ocean are calm enough at times to allow seaplanes to take off and land. This is quite unusual for islands on the open ocean. In this video, contributor AirFlix worked with the pilot of the plane to create an amazing aerial video of the plane slowly gathering speed and lifting off the surface of the Indian Ocean. AirVuz would like to point out that flying a drone near any type of manned aircraft is extremely dangerous and illegal in many if not most jurisdictions.

Please note this shot was done in cooperation with, and as instructed by the captain of the seaplane, involving spotters on the ground. At take-off the UAV was behind the aircraft at all times. In case of a highly unlikely fly-away, the UAV would not be able to get closer to the plane even at max. speed. In case of loss of radiocontact, the UAV would Return-to-Home in a direction opposite to the plane.
This shot was done by professionals and in general it is highly adviced NOT to fly UAV's around airplanes as this could be dangerous and/or illegal.
