Tappan Zee Bridge, New York
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
AirVuz contributor Santiago brings us this amazing aerial of the New York City's Tappan Zee Bridge. The bridge spans the Hudson River at one of its widest points, connecting the towns of Tarrytown and Nyack. The original bridge here opened in 1955. Designed to last only 50 years, it was crumbling by the early 2000's. The new bridge, which is officially called the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, opened in 2017. The twin cable-stayed span has a total length of about three mi. or around five km.
