The Burren ( The Kingdom of stone )
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Multiple Drone Video of the Week Finalist Drone Photography Ireland brings us this fantastic drone video of a giant rock formation in Ireland known as the Burren. One of the natural wonders of the Emerald Isle, the Burren is what's known as a glaciokarst landscape, in which layers of soluble sedimentary rocks were acted upon by glaciers during the last Ice Age. Depending on definition, the Burren covers between 100-200 square mi. (250-560 square km), primarily in County Clare and extending into neighboring County Galway in western Ireland.

The Burren is a region of County Clare in the southwest of Ireland. It’s a karst landscape of bedrock incorporating a vast cracked pavement of glacial-era limestone, with cliffs and caves, fossils, rock formations and archaeological sites.
