AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

AirVuz contributor Bumble Bee Productions brings us this excellent drone video of the USS Alabama, a storied US Navy battleship which is now a floating museum in Mobile Bay, Alabama.  The last of four South Dakota class battleships ordered on the eve of World War II, she was launched in February, 1942.  The ship is 680 ft. long (210 m) and displaces about 45k tons when fully-loaded.  The Alabama was attached to the famous Task Force 34 during the Battle of Leyte Gulf in the Philippines in October, 1944.

BADGES THIS VIDEO HAS EARNED:

The iconic USS Alabama (BB-60) remains in the calm waters of Mobile bay watching over the city of Mobile. For as long as I can remember, she stood guard here and is a testament to the strength, courage and might of the US Navy. She is little rusty and is undergoing some repairs and cosmetic work but she is still strong and worthy of a visit and support of the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park.
