Uludağ, into the Peak

Contributor Korayus used a drone to record an epic hike to the peak of one of Turkey's most important mountains. Mt. Uludağ is located in the province of Bursa in the northwestern part of the country. With a peak elevation of about 2.55k meters (just over 8.3k ft.) above sea level, it is the highest mountain in the entire Marmara region. The mountain is known as Olympos in Greek, and like its "cousin" mountain in northern Greece, Uludağ was once home to numerous Eastern Orthodox monasteries.

You can reach the Volftam mine from the northern track and reach the lakes and the Uludağ summit for about 1.5 hours after a hard climb to the small summit, where you can write your thoughts and feelings to the summit book. ---
