AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Ulyanovsk is one of the largest cities on Russia's Volga River, the longest waterway in Europe. Originally known as Simbirsk, its name was changed in 1924 to commemorate its most famous citizen, Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, better known by his revolutionary nickname: Lenin. Seen in this drone video by Anemko, Ulyanov was founded in the mid-17th century around a fortress designed to protect the Russian heartland from invasion from the east. The video features footage from the historic city center as well as from the Volga waterfront.
