Winter in The Netherlands
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
The magic of winter in the Netherlands is beautifully brought forth in this excellent drone video by AirVuz contributor and pilot jdverolme. The video includes footage of Noordoostpolder a polder (low lying tract of land) in the central Dutch province of Flevoland; Schokland, a one-time island of the Zuiderzee; Oud-Kraggenburg, a town which is also part of the Noordoostpolder; IJssel, harbor on a distributary of the Rhine River; and Kampen, a town in the eastern Dutch province of Overijssel.

We have had a cold wave for 2 weeks here in The Netherlands last winter, where we reached -20 degrees Celsius temperatures. For The Netherlands, it is very rare to have frozen lakes and white landscapes due to the snow. I've captured this unique event with my drone. Locations are Noordoostpolder, Schokland (World Heritage Site), Oud-Kraggenburg, IJssel, Kampen
