Castell de Xàtiva from Air

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Xàtiva Castle is a fortification in the hills overlooking the town of the same name, about an hour's drive south of the Mediterrranean port city of Valencia.  Seen in this drone video by belogaev_art, the complex consists of two fortresses: the Castillo Menor, which dates to Roman times, and the Castillo Mayor, which was built during the medieval period.  During the latter era, the castle played an important role in the Reconquesta, the struggle in which Christian forces regained control of the Iberian Peninsula from Muslim rule.

BADGES THIS VIDEO HAS EARNED:

Fortress on a hill with panoramic views and a history spanning the Roman, Islamic and Christian periods.

Xativa Castle is a castle located in the city of Xàtiva near Valencia, Spain. It consists of a twin fortification divided between the older "Castillo Menor" (minor castle), built on the Iberian and Roman remains of the site, and the more recent "Castillo Mayor" (main castle), built during the medieval period.

It sits at a height of 310 meters above the modern-day city. And if you rise air, you can appreciate the gorgeous view of the fortress, which has preserved the spirit of antiquity.

Appreciate our efforts. We tried to convey the spirit of the time in which the fortress existed the longest, the time in which it received the most fame.
