Magpie Lead Mine in the Peak District. Morning Glow

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

AirVuz contributor dogzodiac brings us this excellent drone video of a historic abandoned lead mine in the heart of England.  For two centuries, the Magpie Mine was one of the world's most important sources of the soft industrial metal.  It's located near the village of Sheldon in Derbyshire, one of the counties of the East Midlands region of the UK.  The mine was closed in 1958.  A (legally protected) Scheduled Monument, the disused mine is operated by the Peak District Mines Historical Society.
