Memories of the Dutch Coast - Scheveningen, Summer 2022

Located on the North Sea, Scheveningen is a northern suburb of the Hague. Having appeared in numerous Dutch paintings, and it's increasingly popular with extreme sports enthusiasts, specifically kiteboarders and windsurfers. The video features some marvelous shots of modern Scheveningen's most distinctive feature: its pier, which is also home to an amusement park.

‘Memories of the Dutch Coast: Scheveningen, Summer 2022’ is a collection of my favorite drone shots above this beautiful beach town from the past summertime.

To celebrate the end of the summer season, I thought it was appropriate to revisit a location that I spent a lot of time at over the past season. I visited the beach town of Scheveningen multiple times while recording my latest film ‘The Hague: My Home from Sunrise to Sunset’. In the film I recorded so much footage of the city’s beach town Scheveningen that I felt like it deserved its own video to truly do it justice. Therefore, if you’ve watched my previous film, a few of the locations may feel familiar.

There’s lots of great new stuff in here though and a lot to enjoy for all lovers of beautiful sunsets. Scheveningen is particularly beautiful to me during sunset as the sun drops right into the middle of the North Sea, giving everyone relaxing by the beach town’s pier, many restaurants, bars, and pubs an incredible view. Particularly the first and last sequences strike me as having beautiful colors captured by the DJI Mavic 3 and color graded in Davinci Resolve.
