The Glacier - Iceland

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Top AirVuz contributor Drone Eye Perspective brings us this stunning drone video of the Iceland's Sólheimajökull glacier.  Located close to the southern tip of the island, it's part of the Mýrdalsjökull icecap, which covers a bit under 200 square mi. (around 600 square km) and is Iceland's fourth-largest glacier by that measure.   Sólheimajökull itself is about 5 mi. long (around 8 km) and begins at an altitude of about 4.3k ft. above sea level (around 1.3k m), ending at about 300 ft. ASL (around 100 m).

Sólheimajökull is called crawling glacier as the glacier crawls from a height of about 1,300 m down to 100 m on the low land. It is about eight kilometres long, two kilometres wide and truly spectacular!
