Winter Beach - Noordwijk aan Zee

Check out this drone video of a beautiful spot on the coast of the Netherlands, compliments of jeroenpardon. The video was filmed over Noordwijk aan Zee, which is part of the municipality of Noordwijk. It's located in the province of South Holland, about a 45 minute drive southwest of Amsterdam and a slightly shorter distance north of the Hague. The area is known for its beaches and (slightly inland) its flower fields. Since the 1920's, its most prominent landmark is its white lighthouse, which is featured prominently in the video.

Drone flight at the beach in Noordwijk aan Zee, Netherlands on a beautiful clear late winter afternoon. The featured lighthouse was built in 1921and its first lighting was at August 23, 1923. Ten years later the tower was painted white to protect it against the water. Several lighthouse existed before the current one, with the first mention of one dating back to the year 1444.
